Ladies and Gentlemen, the Doors!

I don't know when it began exactly, but I've always had this odd fascination with doors. There's a mystery to them, a portal to another side unseen.

No doubt to most people they all go largely unnoticed. Taken for granted. But not me. I can't help but notice them — some ornate, some stark.

Oddly enough, my father had this strange anxiety when it came to doors. He didn't like walking through them, which is odd given that's what doors are for. Thankfully, it's a phobia I did not inherit.
